
Asheville Sweeps Doubleheader

Kannapolis Cannon Ballers News Release
Kannapolis, NC--The Asheville Tourists swept the Kannapolis Intimidators in Monday's doubleheader at Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium. Asheville won game one by a score of 7-4 and prevailed in game two by a final score of 10-5.
Francisco Hernandez hit his 6th homerun for the I's in the first game. Still that wasn't enough. Ricky Brooks allowed 7 ER and 10 hits in 4.0 IP, as he fell to 8-11 on the season. Kanekoa Texeira bailed out Brooks with 3 sharp scoreless IP. Aaron Cunningham doubled in the loss.
The Tourists took game two by a final count of 10-5. Brandon Allen belted a 3-run homerun to right. Allen now shares the Intimidators homerun lead with Cunningham. Each have 11 dingers. Alex Woodson lost his first start as an Intimidator. Woodson lasted just 3 innings and allowed 5 ER.
The Intimidators play their home finale Tuesday night against Asheville. The first pitch is scheduled for 7:05pm. All tickets are just one dollar. Game and season tickets are available by calling (704) 932-FANS or logging on to intimidatorsbaseball.com.
