Carolina Mudcats News Release
The Mudcats return home tonight for game one of a three game series and three game home stand against the Salem Red Sox. Tonight's opener kicks off the final series of the season between the Red Sox and Mudcats. RHP Brandon Barker gets the nod in the series opener tonight. He is currently 7-3 with a 3.00 ERA over 14 starts this season with the Mudcats. He has also gone 10-8 and posted a 3.35 ERA over 23 starts between Low-A, High-A and Triple-A this season. Barker leads the Braves farm system in wins (10) and strikeouts (93) this season. He is also 2nd in the Carolina League in wins (7), 7th in earned run average (2.93) and 5th in WHIP (1.14) since June 1.
Tonight's game begins at 7:00 p.m. at Five County Stadium in Zebulon and will air on the Mudcats Radio Network with the pre game show beginning at 6:45 p.m.
