Aucoin Named Second Team AHL All-Star

HERSHEY - The 2010 Calder Cup Champion HERSHEY BEARS announced today in conjunction with the American Hockey League that center Keith Aucoin has been named as a second-team All-Star. The announcement was made today by BEARS President/GM Doug Yingst.

For Aucoin, it's his fifth postseason All-Star selection by the AHL. He was the 2009-10 AHL Most Valuable Player after leading the league in scoring. Aucoin notched his 700th career AHL point this past Saturday night against the Albany Devils and he also scored his 200th AHL goal on December 19 at Charlotte. Despite missing nine weeks due to injury, Aucoin enters play Friday tied for fifth in the league in scoring with 67 points. A native of Waltham, MA, Aucoin is also tied for second in the AHL in assists with 50.

The BEARS travel to Norfolk to face the Admirals Friday and Saturday night at Norfolk Scope. Faceoff Friday is at 7:15 p.m., with airtime at 6:45 p.m. on the BEARS Radio Network.
