
Bohmbach Reassigned to Toledo, Hedden Released from PTO

Rockford, Ill. - The Rockford IceHogs announced on Thursday that winger Andy Bohmbach has been reassigned to the Toledo Walleye of the ECHL. Additionally, left wing Mike Hedden was released from his professional try-out.
In his most recent recall, Bohmbach recorded two shots on goal against Lake Erie on Wednesday night. On the campaign, Bohmbach has skated in six games for the IceHogs, recording two points (2a) and six shots on goal.
Before getting recalled to Rockford, Bohmbach led the Walleye with 68 points (25G, 43A) through 62 games played in his rookie season in 2010-11. His 43 assists also paced the way for the Walleye. On Wednesday, Bohmbach was named to the ECHL All-Rookie team for the 2010-11 season.
The rookie winger was undrafted and signed to an AHL contract with the IceHogs on July 21, 2010. The Hudson, Wisconsin native completed a four-year career at the University of Wisconsin where he compiled 54 points (20g-34a) in 116 games.
Hedden made his IceHogs debut in the IceHogs 3-2 win at Lake Erie on Wednesday night. The winger will return to the Walleye where he has played in 54 games and has totaled 29g-17a-46pts. Hedden has also appeared in three games with Grand Rapids this season, registering an assist.
The Dunnville, Ont. native registered 18g-14a-32pts in 66 games with Toledo in 2009-10.

The IceHogs will be celebrating Hammy's birthday with several area mascots as the team opens the final weekend of the 2010-11 season.
