Auburn Doubledays News Release

Tonight's Game: It's game two of a three-game series between the Doubledays and Yankees at Falcon Park. McKenzie Mills and Derek Callahan face off on the mound after their last appearances on July 6th. Both took the loss as Mills came out of the bullpen for Auburn and Callahan started for Staten Island.

Last Night's Game: The Doubledays dropped game one of the series 3-1 in a quick 2:15. Staten Island took the lead in the first off a double and a single and never looked back. Auburn's lone run came in the fifth inning. A night after the Doubledays set season highs in runs and hits against the Muckdogs, Auburn managed just one run and four hits.

The Hit-Man: Andrew Stevenson extended his hit streak to a team-high eight last night with a 1-4 performance against the Muckdogs. The outfielder has hit .457 (16-35) over his last eight games. Stevenson has started in 13 games for Auburn this season and has recorded a hit in 11.

Erick Fedd-Easy: Erick Fedde earned the first loss of his professional career last night, but extended an impressive streak. Over his last three starts, Fedde's line is: 14 IP, 2 ER, 0 BB, and 17 K's.

Bounce Back Bullpen: Since giving up five runs last Monday, the Doubledays bullpen has been much better. In three games, Auburn's pen has the following line: 10 IP, 11 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, and 7 K's.
