The Mahoning Valley Scrappers (7-15) dropped the second game of a three-game set to the Lowell Spinners (14-9) 6-5 in 11 innings on Sunday afternoon at LeLacheur Park.

In the top of the first, Mark Mathias hit a double to left to score Willi Castro. Mahoning Valley added two more in the top of the second on doubles from Silento Sayles and Willi Castro.

In the bottom of the second, Mitch Gunsolus had an RBI single, and Hector Lorenzana scored on a wild pitch by Dominic DeMasi.

A two-run single for Lorenzana in the bottom of the third put the Spinners up 4-3.

In the top of the fifth, Nate Winfrey scored to tie the game on a wild pitch by Randy Perez.

In the bottom half, Tate Matheny scored on a throwing error by Li-Jen Chu to give Lowell a 5-4 lead.

David Armendariz hit his third home run of the season in the top of the 8th off Bobby Poyner to tie the game.

In the bottom of the 11th, Lowell had the bases loaded. Jeremy Rivera scored on a balk by catcher Li-Jen Chu, to take the second game of the series. Chu stepped out of the catcher's box before the pitch was thrown.

Edwar Garcia (3-0) got the in, while Zapata (1-3) took the loss.

Leandro Linares gets the ball on Monday night at 7:05 against Jake Cosart.
