Owen Sound Attack News Release

The Owen Sound Attack of the Ontario Hockey League announces that they have traded their first round selection (11th overall) in the 2010 CHL Import Draft to the Barrie Colts in exchange for defenseman Matt Stanisz, a 4th round selection in 2012 and Barrie's 58th selection overall in the 2010 CHL Import Draft.

Stanisz, a 20 year old defenseman from Burlington, ON. has played in 195 games over 4 seasons with the Colts, notching 3 goals and 42 assists. Stanisz will provide a steady, overage presence on what is expected to be a much more experienced Owen Sound Attack blue line by Training Camp in August.

"We are very pleased that we were able to acquire a character player like Matt," stated Attack General Manager, Dale DeGray. "He is going to provide a veteran presence in our dressing room, on the ice and in our community and all three of those were very important to us moving forward."

The Attack will now select 58th overall in the 2010 CHL Import Draft.
