
Atlanta Sends Four More To Wolves

The Atlanta Thrashers have assigned goaltender MICHAEL GARNETT and left wing COLIN STUART to the Chicago Wolves, both members of last year's squad.
In addition, the Thrashers have assigned right wing JOEY CRABB and defenseman SCOTT LEHMAN.
GARNETT led Wolves goaltenders with 15 wins, 35 appearances, 1,892 minutes played and 785 saves last season. The Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, native also made his National Hockey League debut with Atlanta last year, notching a 10-7-4 mark, two shutouts and a 3.45 goals-against average in 24 contests.
Last year, the 23-year-old netminder established a Wolves franchise record with 13 consecutive starts from March 15 to April 9 last season. Overall, he has appeared in 74 games spanning four seasons with Chicago (2002-2006), recording a 33-25-6 mark, two shutouts and a 3.06 goals-against average.
STUART, an Oak Park native, accumulated career-highs with 13 goals, 14 assists, 27 points and 65 penalty minutes in 78 tilts with the Wolves last season. The 24-year-old forward shared second on the team and fifth in the American Hockey League with four short-handed goals. He has registered 32 points (16G, 16A) and 77 penalty minutes in 117 outings with Chicago over the past two seasons.
CRABB notched his first professional goal in Atlanta's preseason victory against the Florida Panthers on Wednesday night. Last season, the 23-year-old forward ranked second on Colorado College of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association with a career-best 18 markers and third with 25 assists and 43 points - both career-highs - in 42 games.
LEHMAN, Atlanta's third choice (76th overall) in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, ranked fourth among Ontario Hockey League defensemen with 50 assists and shared eighth with 55 points in a career-best 68 games with Toronto St. Michael's last season. Overall, the 20-year-old blueliner collected 106 assists, 121 points and 603 penalty minutes spanning four seasons (2002-2006) with Toronto St. Michael's.
