Atlanta Recalls Mannino

The Atlanta Thrashers have recalled goaltender Peter Mannino from the Chicago Wolves.

Mannino has not appeared in any games with Chicago this season. Last year, the 26-year-old netminder shared 10th in the American Hockey League with a career-high 26 victories (26-5-1) and tied for third in the league with a .921 save percentage in 38 outings with the Wolves. The Farmington Hills, Mich., native also ranked sixth in the league with a 2.34 goals-against average, allowed one or fewer goals in 16 appearances, which includes two shutouts, and was named the Reebok/AHL Goaltender of the Month for January.

Overall, MANNINO has accrued a 43-17-3 record with a 2.64 goals-against average, .902 save percentage and three shutouts in 72 career AHL outings with Bridgeport (2008-09) and Chicago (2009-10), and appeared in three National Hockey League games with the New York Islanders, notching a 1-1-0 record with a 4.52 goals-against average and .870 save percentage.

The Wolves will face the Milwaukee Admirals in a pair of Amtrak Rivalry matchups this weekend, beginning at the Bradley Center on Friday at 7 p.m., before both teams visit the Allstate Arena for the Wolves home opener, presented by LifeSource, on Saturday at 7 p.m.
