Atlanta Recalls Goaltender Mannino

The Atlanta Thrashers have recalled goaltender PETER MANNINO from the Chicago Wolves. In addition, the Wolves have released forward TIM MILLER.

MANNINO made 27 saves on 30 shots in regulation and overtime and stopped four of five attempts in the shootout in his last appearance on Friday, a 4-3 shootout loss to the Houston Aeros. The 26-year-old netminder has posted a 3.09 goals-against average and .896 save percentage in 27 games with the Wolves this season (12-10-2).

The Farmington Hills, Mich., native has also appeared in one contest with the Thrashers this season, stopping 15 of 16 shots in 38:26 of relief duty on Oct. 22 vs. Tampa Bay.

MANNINO has backstopped four career National Hockey League games with the New York Islanders and Thrashers, notching a 1-1-0 record with a 3.85 goals-against average and .893 save percentage, and accrued a 55-27-5 record with a 2.76 goals-against average, .906 save percentage and three shutouts in 99 career AHL outings with Bridgeport (2008-09) and Chicago (2009 to present).

MILLER tallied one assist and two penalty minutes in two games with Chicago this weekend after being signed on Saturday.

The Wolves will visit the Grand Rapids Griffins for a pair of matchups next weekend, beginning on Friday at 6 p.m.
