UNUM Educator's Hall of Fame Night
Come on out to the Civic Center this Friday and see the Pirates take on the Worcester Sharks in game seven of the UNUM Challenge. Friday night will be the third meeting in six days between the two clubs, and Worcester currently leads the season series 3-2.
In partnership with the Maine Coalition for Excellence in Education, UNUM will recognize six teachers and four school administrators who have made a difference in the lives of students in our public schools and who represent excellence in the educational profession. The 10 people to be honored at this game were nominated and selected through UNUM's Fifth Annual Maine Educators' Hall of Fame, supported by the Pirates.
The 5th Annual UNUM Challenge between the Pirates and the Sharks continues. At each game in each city, one lucky fan will be chosen from the submitted entrees as the UNUM Challenge Fan of the Game. Click here to enter.

Salute to Motor Sports/Junior Achievement Night
It's another Bud Light Hockey Night in Portland when the Pirates host their annual Salute to Motor Sports Night presented by NAPA Auto Parts and WJAB.
The Providence Bruins will be joining us for the fifth of 12 meetings between the two rivals this season, as Portland leads the season series 3-1. Again this season Casco Bay High School students involved in the Junior Achievement program are producing the game sponsored by Unum. As part of Junior Achievement business services these students will create a logo, develop a business plan and finalize a mission statement and vision for the game.
Fans are encouraged to head to Shawnee Peak Sunday (January 23rd) afternoon and redeem their ticket from this game for a $20 dollar lift ticket.

Bath Savings Institution Mini Bobblehead Night
Continue your collection with the second of three limited edition collectible Pirates bobbleheads, presented by Bath Savings Institution. The first 2,000 fans through the gates on Tuesday, January 25th at 6:30 p.m. will receive a Tyler Ennis bobblehead. The Pirates will be concluding their season series against the Norfolk Admirals in a pivotal Eastern Conference showdown as the playoff races heat up.
It is also Pirates Date Night presented by WJBQ, WCYY, and WBLM. Visit Siano's, RiRa Irish Pub, or G&R Dimillo's for dinner for two and two tickets to the game for only $19.99.

American Heart Association Kickoff Event
Come out to the Civic Center on Saturday, February 5 when the Connecticut Whale come to town for another Bud Light Hockey Night in Portland.
Join the Pirates and the American Heart Association in celebrating Go Red! with the Pirates Night, to benefit the American Heart Association Go Red for Women Campaign designed to empower women to take control of their heart health. The Pirates will be wearing special red uniforms signifying their support of the American Heart Association and the Go Red for Women cause. Show your support by wearing red to the game as we kick off American Heart Month. Click here for special discounted tickets to the game. The Pirates will donate $5 for each Main Deck ticket and $4 for each Quarter Deck ticket sold through this initiative to the American Heart Association Go Red for Women Campaign.

Pirates All-Stars
The Pirates would like to congratulate forward Luke Adam and defenseman Drew Schiestel on being selected to participate in the 2011 AHL All-Star Classic presented by Capital BlueCross at the GIANT Center in Hershey, PA.
Schiestel and Adam were among the 46 players announced last week that will make up the Eastern and Western Conference All-Star Teams. Schiestel, a native of Hamilton, Ontario, is currently in his second season with the Pirates. In 40 games this season he has already topped every offensive number from his rookie campaign by posting 19 points (5-14-19) with a plus/minus rating of +11.
Adam burst onto the scene in his first season of professional hockey. He was named the first Reebok/AHL Player of the Week of the season following a two goal and two assist performance in the Pirates season opening victory over Manchester. Adam, who has12 goals and 10 assists for 22 points in 20 games, is currently in the midst of his fourth recall of the season with the Buffalo Sabres.
