FOUR HORSEMEN
The Wolves bagged a season-high four first period goals en route to their 5-2 win over San Antonio on Sunday; Chicago ¬â¢s four first frame markers were the most in the opening twenty minutes since the team scored six tallies on Feb. 21, 2010.
WOLVES HEADLINES
--- PAUL POSTMA: Collected two points (G, A) on Sunday to surpass his point total from 63 games during his rookie season last season with 31 points (8G, 23A) in 46 games this year ... His 31 points rank fifth on the Wolves and second among AHL defensemen ... Holds third on the Wolves and is tied for second among league blueliners with 23 assists ... Paces the Wolves with 131 shots on goal, which ranks seventh overall in the league and first among AHL defensemen
--- NIGEL DAWES: Amassed seven goals and 11 points in his last eight contests, which includes collecting 10 points (7G, 3A) during a season-high six-game point streak from Jan. 1 to Jan. 14 ... Paces the Wolves and shares first in the AHL with 21 goals and holds third on the club and is tied for 10th in the league with 36 points in 40 games this season ... Shares second on the team with six power-play strikes
--- TIM STAPLETON: Posted four points (G, 3A) in four games with the Wolves this season, which includes earning a point in three of those tilts ... Ranks seventh on the team with nine goals and 19 points in 24 outings this season ... Compiled 15 points (8G, 7A) in 20 matchups with the San Antonio Rampage earlier this year ... Skated in 11 NHL matchups with the Atlanta Thrashers, accruing two penalty minutes
--- JASON KROG: Shared the team lead with four points (G, 3A) in four games last week ... Ranks first in the AHL with 33 assists and ranks first on the Wolves and second in the league with 43 points in 46 games this season ... Shares fifth on the team with 10 goals and paces the AHL with 22 power-play assists and 27 power-play points
WOLF TRACKS
--- Chicago - which snapped a five-game winless streak on Sunday - sits in seventh place in the West Division with 49 points (22-19-2-3) through 46 games this season; the Wolves trail first place Milwaukee by five points, with the Admirals holding four games in hand; all eight teams in the West Division sit above the .500 mark and first and eighth place in the division are separated by only 13 points.
--- Chicago has posted multiple power-play goals in a game 13 times through 46 games this season after scoring multiple man-advantage markers in a game 12 times in 80 contests last year; the Wolves rank third in the AHL with a 22.3 conversion rate on the power play (49 of 220).
--- Goaltender DREW MacINTYRE has registered a 1.96 goals-against average and .933 save percentage in his last seven outings (5-1-1), after not appearing in a game since Nov. 16; he has accrued a 3.04 goals-against average and .901 save percentage in 11 games overall this season (5-4-1).
--- Sixteen of the Wolves 22 wins this season have come when they have surrendered two or fewer goals in a game; Chicago has notched a 16-1-0-0 mark when allowing two or fewer tallies this season.
--- The Wolves surrendered a power-play goal for the first time in five games on Sunday; Chicago ranks 30th in the league with a 75.8 percent efficiency rating on the penalty kill overall this season (169 of 223).

--- Wolves center RYAN GARBUTT will visit the Thomas Ford Memorial Library, 800 Chestnut St. in Western Springs, on Tue., Jan. 18, at 4 p.m., and the Bedford Park Library, 7816 W. 65th Place., at 6:30 p.m., as part of the team ¬â¢s ¬ÅRead to Succeed ¬Â program, presented by Vista Health System, Pace and Butternut Bread. Members of the squad will make library visits throughout the Chicago area this season for the program, which has reached more than 550,000 children since its inception in 1995.

--- The Wolves and Rockford IceHogs battled through 49:38 of scoreless hockey before KYLE BEACH gave the IceHogs a 1-0 win at the Allstate Arena

Fri., Jan. 14
Houston 4, (at) Chicago 3 (SO)
--- The Wolves and Houston Aeros traded goals for three periods but Houston earned a 4-3 shootout win at the Allstate Arena
--- Forwards NIGEL DAWES, ANDRE DEVEAUX and JASON KROG scored in regulation
--- Goaltender PETER MANNINO stopped 27 shots in regulation and overtime and four of five attempts in the shootout
Wed., Jan. 12

--- The Wolves saw a 2-0 lead erased by four straight goals as they fell, 4-2, to the Texas Stars at the Allstate Arena
--- Forwards JARED ROSS and NIGEL DAWES scored for Chicago
--- Goaltender PETER MANNINO made 22 saves on 25 shots
