Moose Sign Dusty Collins to PTO

The Manitoba Moose today announced they have signed forward Dusty Collins to a pro tryout contract.

Collins, 25, has played in 28 games so far this season with the Ontario Reign of the ECHL where he's collected 15 points (7g, 8a) and 41 penalty minutes. The Gilbert, AZ native also played in seven games with the AHL's San Antonio Rampage where he collected 10 penalty minutes.

Collins has previously played in 104 games with the Manitoba Moose from 2008-10. During that span, he scored 12 points (9g, 3a) and collected 127 penalty minutes. He also appeared in 25 Calder Cup playoff games with the Moose where he scored five points (2g, 3a) and 18 penalty minutes. In 140 career AHL games with the Moose, Springfield, Rockford, and Manchester, Collins has scored 18 points (13g, 5a) and 163 penalty minutes.

Collins was originally drafted in the fifth round by the Tampa Bay Lightning, 163rd overall, in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
