Ray Winder Field, Little Rock, AR - Arkansas Travelers RHP Jose Arredondo has been named the Texas League Pitcher of the Week for the week of July 3 - 9. The announcement comes from Texas League President Tom Kayser this morning. Arredondo, 22, threw a five-hit complete-game shutout in his first Class AA start on Wednesday, July 5 in a 1-0 victory at Wichita. Arredondo joins Travs SS Brandon Wood as the only Arkansas players to win the league's weekly awards. Wood was named Player of the Week for the week of June 26 - July 1. Arredondo will make his second start with Arkansas on Monday, July 10 against the San Antonio Missions. First pitch will be thrown at 7:10 p.m.
