
Argos re-sign WR Snoop Minnis

Mississauga â One day into training camp and the Toronto Argonauts Football Club has added to their depth at Receiver. NFL veteran Marvin âSnoop' Minnis has returned for a second round with the Boatmen.
Snoop Minnis originally signed with the Double Blue in September 2004. The talented receiver was a standout while at Florida State and was later taken in the third round of the 2001 NFL Draft. Minnis most recently spent time with the NFL's Miami Dolphins.
Said Minnis, "I'm glad to be back. This feels like home."
Transactions
The Toronto Argonauts Football Club also announced today that LS Randy Srochenski (appendix) and WR Jean-Frederic Tremblay (leg) have been added to the disabled list. In addition, DL Arnold Miller has elected to retire from football and pursue personal goals. Furthermore, RB Brian "Skip" Hicks has failed the team medical. As a result, his contract with the Club has been terminated for the time being.

2004: Signed with the Miami Dolphins (NFL) January 28 and released following training camp in August...Signed a practice roster agreement as a free agent with Toronto on September 13, 2004 and left team for personal reasons one week later.
2003: Released by Kansas City as a final cut on August 31...Signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (NFL) September 24 and released October 7...Re-signed with Tampa Bay December 2 and released December 13, was inactive for both games.
2002: Dressed for 2 games with Kansas City and caught 1 pass for 4 yards.
2001: Drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs (NFL) in the 3rd Round (77th Overall) of the NFL Draft...played in 13 games, started in 11 for the Chiefs and caught 33 passes for 511 yards (LG 56) and 1 TD, lone touchdown catch came in NFL debut vs Oakland (9/9/01) from Trent Green.
College: Was a four-year letterman at Florida State (1997-00) and started 19 of 43 games...As a senior he caught 63 passes for 1,340 yards and 11 TDs, was named first team All-Atlantic Coast Conference and First Team All-American and was a finalist for the Fred Biletnikoff Award as the nation's top receiver in that season...Finished his career with 115 catches for 2,098 yards and 17 touchdowns.
Personal: Majored in criminology...attended Northwestern High School in Miami where he was named Class 6A All-State...participated in Florida-Georgia All-Star game in senior season...given nickname of âSnoop' as a child by his mother who knew him to constantly explore his surroundings...has two daughters, Tatyana and V'tilya.
