WINNIPEG, MB – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers put together the final pieces of their training camp puzzle today with the signing of defensive tackle Buck Rasmussen and slotback Patrick Thibeault.

Rasmussen (6-4, 285, Nebraska-Omaha '03, DOB: Oct. 1, 1978 in Tekamah, Neb.) spent last season on the practice roster of the Super Bowl champion New England Patriots after signing as a free agent out of the University of Nebraska-Omaha.

Rasmussen also played with the Amsterdam Admirals of NFL Europe last season. He collected 8 solo tackles and 1 sack in 6 games.

Football is just one sport Rasmussen has tackled. He won a state heavyweight wrestling title and was undefeated in high school.

Thibeault (6-2, 205, St. Mary's '02, DOB: Jan. 6, 1977 in Baie-Comeau, Que.) joins the Blue and Gold after spending the last three seasons with the Saskatchewan Roughriders with whom he played in 10 regular season games.

Thibeault hauled in a TD pass as a member of the St. Mary's Huskies team that defeated the University of Manitoba Bisons in the 2001 Vanier Cup.
