Reno Aces News Release

RENO - The Reno Aces (@Aces), in conjunction with the Arizona Diamondbacks (@Dbacks), have announced pitcher Archie Bradley (@ArchieBradley7) will begin a Major League rehab assignment tonight in Tacoma.

Bradley, 22, was drafted by the D-backs in the first round (No. 7 overall) of the 2011 MLB June Amateur Draft out of Broken Arrow (Okla.) Senior High School. He had committed to the University of Oklahoma to play both football and baseball before signing with Arizona.

He made his MLB debut this year on April 11 at Arizona, throwing six shutout innings of one-hit ball against the Los Angeles Dodgers in a Diamondbacks' 6-0 victory. The right-hander was placed on the disabled list with a sinus fracture after he was struck in the face by a line drive from Colorado's Carlos Gonzalez at Chase Field on April 28.

Bradley, rated as Arizona's No. 1 prospect by Baseball America and No. 25 overall entering the 2015 season, returned to Arizona in mid-May and made four more starts for the D-backs before tendinitis in his right shoulder placed him back on the DL.

Through his first eight starts with the D-backs, Bradley went 2-3 with a 5.80 ERA in 35 2/3 innings of work.

Bradley is the third member of the D-backs to join the Aces on a Major League rehab assignment this season. Catcher Oscar Hernández (@OscarHernDbacks) made his first appearance for the Aces last night behind the plate, while Jake Lamb (@JakeLamb18) spent three games with Reno in early June and hit .364 (4-for-11) with 2 RBI and 1 double.

Following a brief three-game road trip to Tacoma, the Aces return home Friday, June 26 for a four-day, five-game series with the Fresno Grizzlies. Group outings are on sale now at www.RenoAces.com or by calling (775) 334-4700.
