Archibald selected in Fourth Round by Hounds

With their second pick of the day, and first of two in the fourth round, the Soo Greyhounds selected defenseman Brandon Archibald from the Detroit Honeybaked Midgets.
In 65 games played this past season, the 6'2", 195 rearguard tallied 5 goals and 13 assists to go along with 68 penalty minutes. Archibald is described as a "physical defender who plays with grit while focusing on the defensive side of the game".
The scouting report continues " he possesses size, is a better than average skater and competes at a consistently high level. He played against older competition in the U18 division of the MWEHL. Archibald tries to keep his game very simple. He attempts to keep the play in front of him, maintain defensive position and take the body whenever the opportunity arises."
Archibald is a native of Port Huron, Michigan.
