ABOUT LAST NIGHT: Connor Lien and Johan Camargo both drove in three runs and Jacob Schrader and Levi Hyams both hit solo home run as the Mudcats (6-4) powered their way to a 10-5 road win versus the Dash on Monday night at BB&T Ballpark in Winston-Salem. Lien was 3-for-5 with three RBI, a double and a run scored. Camargo also drove in three and finished the game 1-for-3 with a triple. Right-hander Tyler Brosius earned the win after holding the Dash (3-8) to three runs on four hits over five and 1/3 innings. Brosius (1-0, 5.23) also walked two and struck out one. Schrader was 1-for-4 with a run, a solo home run and one RBI in the game. Hyams was 1-for-1 with a solo HR, two runs and two RBI.

NEXT UP: Tonight the Mudcats visit BB&T Ballpark once again for game two of their three game series with the last place Winston-Salem Dash. Opening night starter LHP Yean Carlos Gil starts for Carolina tonight and looks to lead his club to its third straight victory. Gil is also seeking his first victory of the season. He has lost two straight starts to begin the season and is 0-2 with a 2.46 ERA in 2015. Gil has not walked a batter and has struck out seven over 11 innings pitched. He suffered the loss in his last start despite allowing just one unearned run in six and 1/3 innings. The Mudcats scored just one run in support of Gil in his last game on April 15 against the Blue Rocks.

WHERE THEY RANK: Shortstop Johan Camargo is currently 5th in the Carolina League in batting average (.346)... Infielder Jacob Schrader is tied for the league lead in doubles (4) and extra-base hits (6)... Starter Steve Janas is currently 3rd in the Carolina League in earned run average (0.69). Janas is also 4th in the league in innings pitched (13.0), 2nd among qualified starters in WHIP (0.46), 3rd in average against (.136) and tied with teammate Yean Carlos Gil in lowest BB/9ip Ratio (0)... Reliever Tyler Jones is currently tied for 2nd in the league in saves (2).

THE BOTTOM THIRD: The seven, eight and nine spots in last night's Mudcats' lineup combined to go 5-for-9 with eight RBI. Connor Lien hit seventh last night and was 3-for-5 with a run and three RBI last night. Levi Hyams batted in the eight spot and was 1-for-1 with a home run, two runs scored and two RBI. He also walked three times in the game. Johan Camargo hit ninth and was 1-for-3 with a two-run triple, a sacrifice fly and three RBI. The bottom third of the Mudcats' lineup is batting a combined .526 (19-for-20) with 10 RBI over the last two games. Lien, Hyams and Camargo occupied the bottom third of the lineup on Monday night. Lien, Joe Odom and Camargo worked out of the bottom third on Saturday in Salem. Odom was 1-for-3 with a SF and a RBI on 4/19. Lien is batting .462/.462/.615 when batting seventh (6-for-13, 2r, 4rbi) this season.

HOME RUN FIRSTS: Carlos Franco's two-run, two-out home run in the second inning on 4/10 was the first home run this season for the Mudcats. Sean Godfrey also hit a home run in that same inning against Salem's Trey Ball. Jacob Schrader hit the first Mudcats home run away from Five County on 4/16 (first road game) in the 9th against Salem... In 2014 it was LF LeVon Washington who hit the first Mudcats' home run of the season. His happened on April 9 in Frederick and during the sixth game of the season (second road game). Second baseman Todd Hankins hit the first Five County Stadium home run on April 17 against Salem. It was a lead off blast and in the 14th game of the season (7th home game).

SCHRADER: Blasted his first home run of the season in the 9th off Univ. of Tampa teammate Mike Adams on 4/16.
