
Another Last-AB Win for Lakewood, 8-3 over Suns

LAKEWOOD, N.J. - The BlueClaws never led before scoring five times in the bottom of the 8th inning in their 8-3 win over the Hagerstown Suns Tuesday night.
Kelly Dugan connected for an opposite-field double that scored Gauntlett Eldemire from first base for a 4-3 lead. After adding a run for a 5-3 lead, Lakewood had runners on second and third base with one out. Brock Stassi lined a ball to the gap in right-center field that scooted past Brian Goodwin and rolled all the way to the wall. Stassi raced around and slid head-first for an inside-the-park three-run homer which gave the BlueClaws an 8-3 lead.
Colin Kleven struck out a career-high 11 batter s over seven inning s in which he surrendered three runs, but only one earned run.
After completing their season-long nine-game homestand, the BlueClaws hit the road to begin a five-game road trip in West Virginia Monday night. Lakewood will send Ethan Stewart (4-6, 3.21) to the mound against West Virginia's Zack Von Rosenberg (1-2, 5.18).
