Tulsa, OK - The Arkansas Travelers fell to the Tulsa Drillers by the score of 2-1 on Friday night at ONEOK Field.
In his first at-bat with the Drillers after a promotion from Advanced-A Rancho Cucamonga, SS Erisbel Arruebarrena homered to lead off the second to put Tulsa up 1-0. The Drillers added a run in the third when 1B Lars Anderson scored on a 3B Drew Maggi error with two outs.
Arkansas plated its lone run on a SS Eric Stamets leadoff home run in the seventh, his second of the season.
RHP Chris Anderson twirled the first-ever Drillers nine inning complete game at ONEOK Field. He surrendered the run on four hits with one walk and eight strikeouts.
RHP Austin Wood (L, 6-3) worked four innings in the spot-start for RHP Mike Antonini who was scratched prior to the game. Wood allowed the two runs (one earned) on three hits with four walks and three strikeouts.
RHP Austin Adams pitched three scoreless innings with four strikeouts after Wood, and RHP Eduard Santos tossed a scoreless eighth.
No Travs player reached base more than once.
Arkansas did not have a single plate appearance with a runner in scoring position.
CF Peter Lavin extended his team-best hitting streak to 11 straight games with a single in the seventh.
With the loss, Arkansas fell to 46-44 on the season and 10-11 in the second half. The Travelers and Drillers will play the series finale on Saturday with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
