Anderson Garcia Returns To Ottawa

OTTAWA -RHP Anderson Garcia has been optioned back to the Lynx roster today, as RHP Clay Condrey's contract was purchased by the Philadelphia Phillies. RHP Jason Anderson was transferred to Double-A Reading.

Garcia, 26, made his Major League debut with the Phillies after his Canada Day call-up. He got into one game, allowing one run over 0.2 innings against Colorado July 7th. He was 0-1 with three saves and a 3.08 ERA in 18 games with the Lynx this season. The righty has struck out 22 batters and walked only nine in 29.1 innings of work. He started the season with Double-A Reading, where he went 0-2 with seven saves and a 3.12 ERA. He struck out 19 and walked only one batter in 17.1 innings with the Reading Phillies.

Condrey, 31, was 1-0 with a 2.66 ERA and one save in nine games with the Lynx this season. He returns to the Phillies, where he has a 3-0 record with a 7.76 ERA in 15 games this season. This is Condrey's 10th professional season.

Anderson, 28, was 0-1 with a 5.40 ERA in 19 games with the Lynx, including two starts. He picked up the win in his only appearance with Reading this season, throwing two scoreless innings May 29th. He has a career record of 41-29 with a 3.26 ERA and 34 saves in seven Minor League seasons.
