Anaheim Reassigns Heatley to Norfolk

ANAHEIM, Calif. - The Anaheim Ducks announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reassigned Dany Heatley to their their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Norfolk Admirals.

Heatley, 33, made his Admirals debut on December 12 against Springfield as part of a brief conditioning stint. The 6-foot-4, 220-pound left winger did not register a point in his two games with Norfolk or six games with Anaheim,. Before coming to the Ducks, Heatley registered 102 points (47 goals, 55 assists) in 194 games for the Minnesota Wild, in addition to six points (one goal, five assists) in 11 games of the 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs. The second overall draft pick of 2000 has notched a total of 791 points on 372 goals and 419 assists in 869 NHL games.

The Admirals return to Scope Arena on Friday and Saturday for a back-to-back against Lehigh Valley.
