Hamilton Bulldogs News Release

ROCKFORD, ILL. - Hamilton Bulldogs goaltender Mike Condon made 40 saves on 41 shots while forwards Charles Hudon and Christian Thomas scored to lead the 'Dogs (15-13-5-0) to a 2-1 victory over the Rockford IceHogs (19-11-3-1) at BMO Harris Bank Center in Rockford, Ill. on Tuesday evening.

Hudon got the scoring started less than three minutes into the first period when he won a race to a loose puck, broke into the offensive zone all alone, deked past sprawling Rockford goaltender Scott Darling and scored blocker side. Hudon's team-leading 10th goal of the season was unassisted.

Just over two minutes later, Rockford forward Dennis Rasmussen tied the game 1-1 when he buried a centring pass from forward Mark McNeill.

After a scoreless middle stanza, Thomas buried a rebound past Darling at 4:25 of the third period for his ninth goal of the season to give Hamilton a 2-1 lead. Forwards Daniel Carr and T.J. Hensick drew assists on the play.

Condon's counterpart Darling stopped 28 of 30 shots faced for the IceHogs in the loss.

Hamilton went 0-for-3 on the power play, while Rockford was 0-for-4 with a man advantage.
