Ams Fall Short, Lose 3-2 to ICE in Overtime

The Americans suffered a 3-2 overtime loss tonight to the ICE at the Toyota Center.

Blake Stevenson scored both goals for the Americans. All three of his goals this season have came in the last two games following his return from a long term upper body injury on November 2nd.

The ICE responded with two goals bringing the game into overtime.

Former American Isaac Johnson netted the overtime winner for Winnipeg off a breakaway.

Tonight was the ICE's first visit to the Toyota Center since relocating from Cranbrook, BC to Winnipeg, MB. Peyton Krebs, 2019 first-round pick of the Vegas Golden Knight, was a scratch tonight for the ICE.

Beck Warm stopped 38 of 41 shots faced tonight from Winnipeg. He's now recorded 8 wins and 7 losses this season.

The Americans were out shot 41-35 by the ICE.

FINAL: 3-2 WPG (OT) - The Americans will play at the Toyota Center again tomorrow as the 2020 Memorial Cup host Kelowna Rockets visit Kennewick.
