
Amos Otis Appearing at Saturday's T-Bones Game

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - The Kansas City T-Bones have announced that Royals Hall of Fame outfielder Amos Otis will be at CommunityAmerica Ballpark on Saturday, August 22.
WHAT: Otis, one of the greatest players in Royals history, will be throwing out a first pitch and then signing autographs during the game. Otis, a three-time Royals Player of the Year, won three Gold Glove awards and received five All-Star nominations. In 1970, he became the first Royal to make an All-Star Game appearance. In his first at-bat in the 1980 World Series, Otis launched a home run, becoming just the 16th player to do so in his first World Series plate appearance. He hit two more home runs en route to a .478 batting average during the '80 Series.
WHEN: Saturday, August 22. The T-Bones game vs. Joplin begins at 7:05 p.m., with gates opening at 5:30.
