
Amerks Invade Rochester Thursday

(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Americans return to town on Thursday, September 24th to open their 2009-10 American Hockey League training camp at the ESL Sports Centre. The team, however, won't just be hitting the ice. They will also be hitting the airwaves and the Internet.
Center Chris Taylor will be a guest on the John Di Tullio Show at 5:30 p.m. on 1280 WHTK & FM 107.3, Rochester's Sports Talk. Taylor will talk about Day One of Camp, preseason hockey and the season opener on Saturday, October 3rd at The Blue Cross Arena against the Lake Erie Monsters. Faceoff is set for 7:05 p.m.
On Friday, September 25th, Amerks Head Coach Benoit Groulx will do a live chat at 2:00 p.m. with Democrat and Chronicle hockey writer Kevin Oklobzija. Fans can follow the chat in the Hockey O-Zone on DemocratandChronicle.com.
Groulx enters his second season behind the Amerks bench. He will guide the team into its three preseason games, which includes the team's lone home contest on Sunday, September 27th against the Syracuse Crunch at 6:00 p.m. at the ESL Sports Centre.
That night, fans can get players' autographs, and meet the Amerks Moose and the American Spirit promotional team. Tickets for the preseason game are now on sale at the ESL Sports Centre. General admission ticket pricing is $7.00 for adults and free for kids wearing a team hockey jersey. The Rochester Americans also have a limited quantity of tickets available for purchase at the Amerks Office in The Blue Cross Arena.
