
Phantoms To Raise Money For Warren County D.A.R.E. Program

GLENS FALLS, NY - The Adirondack Phantoms, proud AHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers, announced today that the club will hold a ticket fundraiser for their October 3rd Opening Night game against the Worcester Sharks to benefit the Warren County Sheriffs department D.A.R.E. program.
Committed to making an impact in the local community all year long, the Phantoms are offering a special discounted $13 ticket for Opening Night against Worcester; for each ticket purchased the team will be donate $3 to Warren County D.A.R.E. program.

"The entire Phantoms organization is very proud to be part of this important fundraising effort," said Phantoms Vice President of Business Operations Mike Thompson. "With recent budget cuts to the D.A.R.E. program, the Phantoms are trying to do our part to keep local kids drug and alcohol free."
"The D.A.R.E. program makes a huge difference in children's lives," said Sheriff Nathan H. "Bud" York. "The kids have daily contact with a D.A.R.E. officer and they begin to form relationships, which may make the difference when that child is faced with decisions that can change their lives."
The Adirondack Phantoms will hit the Glens Falls Civic Center ice on Friday, September 25th for their home pre-season game against the Albany River Rats. The Phantoms 2009-10 Home Opener is slated for Saturday, October 3rd at 7:30 pm at the Glens Falls Civic Center.
2009-10 Phantoms full and partial season ticket packages are on sale now for the 2009-10 season presented by Bud Light at the Phantoms office; with packages starting as low as $56 for the Time Warner Cable Cup Four-Pack.
