Allen, Texas - The Allen Americans and Fort Worth Brahmas battle this afternoon at 4:05 pm at Allen Event Center.
The two teams have split the two games this weekend, with Fort Worth winning Friday 5-2, and the Americans winning last night in 4-3 on Darryl Bootland's goal 21 seconds into overtime.
The Americans are led by forward Anthony Maiani, who leads the team in points with 55. Jamie Schaafsma leads the team in goals with 24.
The Americans are 9-4-3 against the Fort Worth Brahmas this season, and 29-11-7 lifetime against Fort Worth.
Adam Pineault comes into today's game with a three game point streak, the current longest on the team. Darryl Bootland had two goals in last night's win at NYTEX to get him to 22 total for the season.
The Americans and Brahmas have featured both goaltenders during the weekend set with Fort Worth starting Brad Fogal on Friday night and Kristofer Westblom on Saturday night, while Allen went with Aaron Dell on Friday and Steve Silverthorn on Saturday in the Americans overtime win.
