Americans Vie for Sixth Straight Victory Tonight in Tulsa

November 18, 2010 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Allen Americans News Release

ALLEN, Texas- The Allen Americans will go for their sixth straight victory Thursday night at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma against the Oilers.

The Americans (11-2-0), were recently voted number one in the Yellowbook CHL Coaches Poll, their first such honor this season. Led by Nino Musitelli (11+718) and Colton Yellow Horn (5+1116), Allen sports a balanced attack in which 9 players have already registered double-digit points. Chris Whitley (7-1-0) has led the way in goal for the Americans, while sporting a 3.10 goals against average and a .903 save percentage.

Four Allen players are at least a plus-8, and only one Americans skater has a minus-rating for the season.

The Oilers limp into Thursday's contest as losers of 8 out of their last 9 contests, with their only win coming by way of the shootout November 12th at Colorado.

Chad Costello (6+713) has been a bright spot thus far for the Oil, who have struggled in many facets, including point production. The Oilers only have two players in double figures as far as points are concerned.

Ian Keserich (1-2-0) and Tyler Sims (0-5-1) are the goaltenders for Tulsa, who has placed five different players between the pipes so far this season.

Puck drop is scheduled for 7:05 PM. After the game, Allen will return home to take on Wichita Friday night, and Odessa Saturday night.
