Going Streaking: Americans Down Tulsa for 6th in a Row

TULSA, OKLA- With a 5-3 victory over the Tulsa Oilers Thursday night, the Allen Americans won their 6th consecutive game.

After falling behind Tulsa 1-0 early in the game, the Americans got their first of three power play goals on a Bruce Graham strike at 13:43. Just 1:21 into the second period, Tobias Whelan scored on the power play on a feed from Liam Huculak, making it 2-1 Allen.

Chad Costello, Tulsa's leading point producer, scored 6:27 into the second to tie the game at two, a count that would hold true until late in the period. 17:44 into the frame is when Dustin Donaghy buried a Tobias Whelan pass to once again put the Americans on top, this time by a score of 3-2.

David Strathman put Allen ahead by 2 just 0:19 into the third period on a pass from Mike Berube. The goal for Strathman was his 10th point on the season.

Erik Adams' power play marker at 1:27 of the third put the game out of reach, at 5-2. Judd Blackwater and Dave Bonk assisted on the third goal of the season for Adams.

Tulsa added a late goal to climb back to 5-3, which is where the score would stay, giving Allen yet another regulation victory.

Allen returns home Tomorrow night to take on the Wichita Thunder at the Allen Event Center. The first 2,500 fans in attendance will receive a coupon for a free massage courtesy of Total Body Health. The Hanson Brothers from the film Slap Shot will be special guests before, during, and following the contest.
