Sundogs Partner with Yavapai Food Bank

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - The Arizona Sundogs of the Central Hockey League announced today that the team will collect canned food and non-perishable food items to benefit the Yavapai Food Bank during its next three home games against the Allen Americans.

To encourage support, fans who make donations prior to the games on Wednesday, Nov. 24, Friday, Nov. 26 and Saturday, Nov. 27 will receive various discounts and offers, courtesy of the Arizona Sundogs and arena food vendor Centerplate.

On Wednesday, fans who donate will receive a voucher redeemable for a half-priced Prime Section ticket (regularly $16) to either Friday or Saturday's game. On Friday, fans will receive a coupon good for 10% off in the Arizona Sundogs Team Store in exchange for their donation and on Saturday fans who donate will receive a voucher good for a free small popcorn during Saturday night's contest.

Collection bins will be set up on the concourse inside Tim's Toyota Center near the arena's two main entrances.

Yavapai Food Bank assists roughly 1,500 people and provides 600 boxes of food on a weekly basis. Food items most needed include canned vegetables, canned fruit, soups and stews, dried pasta, rice, beans, cold cereals, canned meat and fruit juice.

Donations and financial contributions can also be dropped off directly at the Yavapai Food Bank at 8866 E. Long Mesa Drive in Prescott Valley.

The Sundogs will host the Americans for three games beginning Wednesday at 7:05pm. Tickets start at just $12 and are available by phone at 1-866-4-GET-TIX (1-866-443-8849), online at www.GetTix.net and in person at the Tim's Toyota Center Box Office.
