The two teams meet tonight for the eighth game in their 12 game season series. Tri-City is 2-5-0-0 against Everett so far this season. Michal Gut leads head-to-head scoring with 17 points (two goals and 15 assists) against the Ams. Jake Sloan has been Tri-City's best player against Everett with four goals and four assists. Petr Moravec also has eight points with two goals and four assists in the head-to-head series. Each team's two goaltenders have had at least one win in the season series.

The Americans most recently played last Saturday at home as a hat trick from Sasha Mutala pushed them to a 4-1 victory over the Spokane Chiefs.

Mutala opened scoring late first period off a feed from Sam Huo. The Americans have won 50% of games this season when scoring first (7-7).

The 20-year-old forward followed early second period with the eventual game-winning goal. Mutala forced a turnover in Chiefs' zone and scored with a wrist shot from the high slot. Fellow 2001-born forward Sam Huo scored the third goal on the power play, assisted by Connor Bouchard.

With 5:31 remaining in the second period, Sasha Mutala scored once more to record his third career hat trick.

Marc Lajoie totaled three assists for his third three point game this season.

Tomas Suchanek had an impressive night in net stopping 29 of 30 shots faced. The Chiefs spoiled his shut out with two minutes remaining with a goal from Timafey Kovgoreniya.
