Americans Invade Mid-South Tonight

SOUTHAVEN, MS --- Your Mississippi RiverKings look for a weekend sweep of home games tonight, when the Allen Americans invade the Mid-South and the DeSoto Civic Center, starting at 7:05 PM tonight.

The RiverKings play the Americans in the fifth game of a seven-game regular season series this evening, and the Americans have won three straight since Mississippi opened the series with a 3-1 victory in Texas back in November.

Mississippi is 26-21-7 for 59 points in the CHL Northern Conference standings, good for fourth place. The RiverKings are seven behind third place Bossier-Shreveport and three points ahead of fifth place Missouri. The top five teams in each conference qualify for the post-season playoffs.

Allen has a record of 36-13-4 for 76 points and second place in the CHL Southern Conference standings.

The RiverKings feature the Dockery Foundation tonight as the featured non-profit MVP. The Dockery Foundation works to provide support to families with autistic children and to provide information to people seeking knowledge about the autistic spectrum.
