The Tri-City Americans concluded the 2021-22 season on Saturday with a 4-1 victory over the Everett Silvertips.

It was the final WHL career game for overage players Connor Bouchard, Sam Huo, and Sasha Mutala.

The Americans opened scoring 3:25 into the game with a goal from Marc Lajoie. The 18-year-old defenseman scored off a quick backdoor feed from Connor Bouchard to give the Ams a 1-0 lead. Mutala also received an assist on the play.

Ten minutes later Petr Moravec capitalized on a power play opportunity as he scored with a wrist shot from the left circle. The Czech forward finished the season on a four game point streak with two goals and two assists over that period.

Bouchard put the Americans up 3-0 just seconds into the second period, assisted by fellow overage players Huo and Mutala.

Tomas Suchanek played the full game in net. Ultimately turning aside 25 of 26 shots faced. His bid for a shutout was ended 6:03 into the final period when Everett got on the board with a power play goal from Michal Gut.
