ICE Eliminate Regina, Host Prince Albert in Round 1

The Winnipeg ICE concluded their 68 game regular season schedule with a 6-4 victory Saturday night in Regina.

Tanner Brown's 7th goal of the season at 13:16 of the second period proved to be the game winner as the ICE finished with a 53-10-3-2 record earning 111 of a possible 136 points.

Jack FInley's 27th, Owen Pederson's 17th, Mikey Milne's 38th, Zach Benson's 25th and Matthew Savoie's 35th goals of the season rounded out the Winnipeg attack.

Savoie finished the season with a team high 90 points (35 goals and 55 assists).

Logan Nijhoff replied with two goals while Braxton Whitehead and Easton Armstrong scored for the Pats.

Daniel Hauser made 25 of 29 saves for Winnipeg while Spencer Welke stopped 34 of 39 for Regina.

The ICE were 0/2 on the powerplay, the Pats went 2/4.

The ICE now set their attention on the Prince Albert Raiders to open the WHL playoffs.
