
Americans Face off against Top NHL Draft Prospect Connor Bedard in Regina

Tri-City will continue their East Division road trip tonight as they take on the Regina Pats. It will be the first time and only time the Americans see top 2023 NHL Draft prospect Connor Bedard.
The two teams last met on January 11, 2020 in Kennewick was the Americans took a 5-4 regulation victory. Four players on Tri-City's current roster were in the lineup that night: Ian Ferguson, Parker Bell, Tyson Greenway, and Marc Lajoie. Tri-City last played in Regina on November 9, 2018 as they fell 5-1 to the Pats.
The Americans will look to add to their four-game winning streak tonight while the Pats come into tonight's game on a four-game losing streak. Their last victory came on October 14 in Swift Current. Tri-City currently boasts the best power play in the WHL with 32.7% success while Regina is 17th at 16.4%. The Americans penalty kill is 20th in the WHL at 72.4% and the Pats are 8th at 81.7%.
The Americans opened their East Division road trip last night with a 6-2 victory in Moose Jaw, extending their win streak to four games.
Six different players found the net for Tri-City: Dragicevic, Bell, Freer, Ernst, Greenway, and Mechura. Jake Sloan led the team with three assists, his second-straight game with three points.
Drew Freer's goal, the eventual game-winner, marks the first of his WHL career.
Netminder Tomas Suchanek turned aside 30 of 32 shots. He has played in net for all six of Tri-City's victories. Over Tri-City's current four-game winning streak, Suchanek has turned aside 151 of 160 shots faced for a .944 save percentage.
