Kennewick, WA- The Tri-City Americans (8-12-1-0, 17 pts) and Swift Current Broncos (8-12-2-0, 18 pts) battled for three periods at the Toyota Center on Wednesday Night, with Parker Bowles' second period goal being the difference, as the Americans earned a 2-1 win in front of 2,482 fans.

Tri-City got on the board first as Nolan Yaremko scored his first goal of the season, firing a shot top shelf to put the Americans ahead 1-0. The Americans had the 13-8 shot advantage in the first, as well as the lead going into the second.

Swift Current was able to tie the game early in the second. Glenn Gawdin fired a one-timer into the goal on the power play, evening the score at one. Tri-City retook the lead midway through the period, as Jordan Topping fired a pass to Parker Bowles at the back door, slapping the puck into the net for a 2-1 lead after two periods.

In the third, the Broncos tried to get the equalizer, outshooting the Americans 11-6 in the period. Evan Sarthou held strong and didn't let anything past him, helping the Americans earn the victory.
