Americans Battle the Beast Tonight

Allen, Texas - The Presidents' Cup Champion Allen Americans battle the Brampton Beast tonight at 7:05 pm at Allen Event Center.

The Americans are coming off a 3-0 shutout win over Missouri last Saturday night. Allen is tied with Denver for 4th overall in the CHL Standings with 28 points, one point ahead of Brampton, which has played two more games than Allen.

The two clubs have split the first four games between the two with Allen winning the last game by a score of 5-3 back in mid November. Phil Fox had two goals in that contest to lead the Americans.

Former Americans forward Scotty Howes will play in his first game tonight for Brampton, after signing a contract earlier this week. Howes had 21 goals in 22 games last season for Allen before being loaned to the American Hockey League.

The Americans will welcome Santa Claus to the Event Center tonight. The Jolly Old Elf will be on the concourse for photos with the little Americans fans beginning at 6:00 pm.

Allen Americans players Alex Lavoie, Johnathan Lessard, and Mark Guggenberger will be signing autographs right after the game tonight in front of section 114.
