Allen Americans News Release
Independence, Missouri - The Allen Americans agreed to terms today with forward, Anthony Maiani and Goaltender, Eric Levine. Both are expected to be in the lineup tonight when the Americans face the Missouri Mavericks at 7:05 pm.
Anthony Maiani was a part of last season's team that went on to win a Presidents' Cup Championship. In 60 games, he had 17 goals and 55 points for Allen. Maiani will wear jersey # 13 in his return, as his former #16 is currently being worn by Ben Power.
"I'm looking forward to joining the boys in time for tonight's game," said Americans forward Anthony Maiani, who was flying into Kansas City today to meet the team. "Allen is the best place to play in the CHL and I'm excited to get back on the ice with the defending CHL Champions."
The Americans also agreed to terms with goaltender Eric Levine, who is expected to backup Bryan Pitton in tonight's game against the Mavericks. Levine was a part of the Americans training camp squad and came close to winning a spot on the opening night roster. Levine played in 23 games this season for the Peoria Rivermen of the SPHL, where he had a record of 11-8-4 and a 2.70 GAA.
Puck drop tonight in Missouri is at 7:05 pm. This is a make-up game from earlier this month when the game was postponed due to bad weather.
The Americans return home to meet Arizona this Friday and Saturday night at Allen Event Center. Tickets for all home games are on sale at www.ticketmaster.com or call (972) 912-1000 .
