Americans Play Make-Up Game Tonight in Kansas City

Independence, Missouri - The Allen Americans play a make-up game tonight, against the Missouri Mavericks in a game that was supposed to be played earlier this month, but was postponed due to bad weather.
Allen has won two games in a row coming into tonight's contest, having put together back to back victories over Wichita and Quad City, to move back into 4 th place in the Central Hockey League Standings.
Tyler Ludwig has 15 goals this season, his most ever as a pro and on he is pace to break his career high point total of 51, which he had last year during the Americans' run to a Presidents' Cup. Ludwig and Jamie Schaafsma are both coming off big nights on Sunday where they netted two goals apiece in Allen's 6-2 win over Quad City.
"We are really banged up right now," said Americans Captain Mike Berube. "We've even had defensemen playing forward of late trying to fill our roster up front. This is a big game for us tonight as we continue to battle for positioning in the standings. We put ourselves in a bit of a hole with our poor start to the month of February, and now we have a chance to close out the month with a little winning streak starting tonight against the team with the most points in the league."
Bruce Graham, Kale Kerbashian, Trevor Hendrikx, Darryl Bootland, Dallas Ehrhardt and Jarret Lukin are all back in Allen, with Johnathan Lessard on the trip but banged up with a lower body injury. The Americans are expected to make a roster move or two today, before tonight's contest against the Mavericks. Face-off is set for 7:05 pm from the Independence Events Center.
