Boise Hawks News Release
Boise, Idaho - The American Mascot Association cancelled the Boise Hawks mascot mania scheduled for Friday, July 10, citing the mascot summer meetings as the reason.
The Hawks had planned a day filled with fun, races and high-fives with several mascots in the Boise area but we're forced to reschedule due to a conflict with the AMA's mascot summer meetings, taking place in Lexington, Kentucky.
"The conflict is unfortunate," said Todd Rahr, team president. "But we understand they need their summer meeting just like we need out winter meetings."
When asked for comment, Squirrely Sam, the AMA's president, made a palms to the sky motion before entering into an impromptu dance competition with the AMA's vice president and secretary of treasury.
The Hawks have rescheduled mascot mania for Saturday, September 5. The Humphrey bobble head giveaway will remain as planned for Friday, July 10.
