Quebec 14, Lincoln 6

The Quebec Capitales fell behind 3-0 after three innings. After that it was all Capitales as they scored 14 runs over the next four innings and would roll to a 14-6 victory over the Lincoln Saltdogs. Quebec 1B Ivan Naccarata and RF Steve Brown together collected four hits and drove in nine runs. Capitales DH Rene Leveret chipped in with three hits and three runs scored. Quebec reliever Guillaume Duguay was the winner as he tossed 2 1/3 innings allowing a hit and three walks. The victory by Duguay is his third of the season.

Gary SouthShore 2, St. Paul 1

Gary SouthShore starting pitcher Will Krout tossed a terrific game in leading the RailCats to a 2-1 win over the St. Paul Saints. Krout threw 8 1/3 solid innings allowing only an earned run on five hits with six strikeouts. The victory by Krout is his fourth of the season. Gary SouthShore C Ryan Babineau had two hits in the game while LF Adam Klein and CF Trevor Willis each scored a run. For St. Paul in the loss, 2B Joe Spiers had two hits and a RBI.

Sioux Falls 6, Grand Prairie 4

Sioux Falls plated two runs in the top of the ninth inning to break a 4-4 tie and beat the Grand Prairie AirHogs, 6-4. Third baseman Jake Taylor led the Pheasants offense going 2-for-4 with a double, a triple, two runs scored and a RBI. Sioux Falls 2B Joe Anthonsen had two hits and a RBI while 1B Cesar Nicolas collected a double and scored a run. Pheasants reliever Kyle Mertins notched the win after tossing 1 1/3 innings giving up a hit and two walks while striking out one. Sioux Falls pitcher Alan DeRatt tossed a scoreless ninth inning to pick up his fourth save.

Fargo-Moorhead 11, Laredo 1

It was all Fargo-Moorhead in this one as the RedHawks went out to a 6-1 lead after three innings and would cruise to an 11-1 victory over the Laredo Lemurs. Fargo-Moorhead had 13 hits in the game with eight of the nine hitters in the lineup collecting at least one. RedHawks LF Buddy Sosnoskie went 2-for-6 with two runs scored and a RBI while CF Nic Jackson had a 2-for-5 game with a run scored and three RBI. Fargo-Moorhead 3B Eric Campbell added his 11th home run of the season, a solo shot in the second inning. RedHawks starting pitcher Aaron Shafer picked up his 10th win of the season after going six innings and giving up an earned run on seven hits with a walk and four strikeouts.

Kansas City 17, Amarillo 8

Rightfielder Ray Sadler and SS Devin Goodwin led the offensive attack for Kansas City as the T-Bones beat the Amarillo Sox by the score of 17-8. Both players combined to go 6-for-10 at the plate with five runs scored and seven RBI. Sadler added his 15th home run of the season while Goodwin launched two shots to bring his total to 16 for the year. Kansas City starting pitcher Josh Rainwater collected his sixth win of the season as he allowed three earned runs on eight hits in seven innings pitched. For Amarillo in defeat, C Patrick Arlis had a terrific game at the plate going 3-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and three runs scored.

El Paso 4, Wichita 2

A terrific performance at the plate by CF Mitch Einertson and a solid outing on the mound by starting pitcher Luis Chirinos lead the El Paso Diablos to a 4-2 win over the Wichita Wingnuts. Einertson went 3-for-5 on the night with a home run, two doubles and two runs scored. Chirinos tossed seven innings giving up an earned run on three hits with three strikeouts. The win by Chirinos improved his record to 5-2 on the season. Second baseman Jake Kahaulelio hit his fifth home run of the season for Wichita in the loss.

Sioux City 10, Winnipeg 9

The Sioux City Explorers held off a late charge by the Winnipeg Goldeyes to win by the score of 10-9. Sioux City 1B Jorge Delgado and C Ray Serrano went a combined 6-for-10 at the plate with two RBI, three doubles and five runs scored. Explorers SS Ryan Priddy had three hits as well along with two runs scored and two RBI. Sioux City reliever Jon Plefka notched the win as he went four innings and gave up three earned runs on five hits. The victory by Plefka was his first of the season.
