Kansas City 1, Texas 0 (11 Innings) - Box Score

After 10 and a half scoreless innings, the Kansas City T-Bones walked off on the Texas AirHogs 1-0.

In the bottom of the 11th, C Tucker Pennell hit a lead-off single and then took second as 2B Dylan Tice was retired. Back-to-back walks drawn by CF Todd Cunningham and DH Colin Walsh pushed Pennell to third and then SS Taylor Featherston delivered the game-winning blow with an RBI single.

The game was a pitcher's duel throughout as the two teams combined for just seven hits and no batter had more than one hit. Kansas City's starting pitcher Tommy Collier went 8.2 innings in the no decision and allowed just two hits while striking out seven batters.

Reliever Marcus Crescentini earned the win for working the top of the 11th.

For Texas, starter Tyler Matzek worked eight innings and allowed just one hit while striking out eight but he also finished without a decision.

Sioux City 6, Lincoln 5 - Box Score

The Sioux City Explorers put together a late surge to knock off the Lincoln Saltdogs 6-5.

Lincoln scored the first run in the bottom of the third as 3B Christian Ibarra (2-for-5) singled home RF Randolph Oduber. The Explorers took the lead in the top of the fifth when LF Luis Durango (2-for-5) doubled home C Dylan Kelly and then scored alongside DH David Kerian (2-for-3) when RF Michael Lang(2-for-5) singled.

The Saltdogs moved back in front in the bottom of the inning as both SS Cesar Valera and DH Curt Smith both hit two-run home runs.

Trailing 5-3, the Explorers fought back into the game in the top of the seventh. CF Jay Austin (2-for-4) reached base on error and that allowed but Durango and Lang to touch home and tie the score. In the eighth, Kerian hit a solo home that proved to be the difference maker on the night.

Wichita 3, Cleburne 1 - Box Score

The Wichita Wingnuts slid past the Cleburne Railroaders 3-1 with a pair of late runs.

The first run of the night came in the bottom of the third inning when CF Zach Nehrir scored as C John Nester (2-for-4) hit a ground-rule double. The score stayed 1-0 until the top of the eighth inning when the Railroaders tied the score. LF Trevor Sealey scored when 3B Chase Simpson (2-for-2) singled and took second on an error.

In the bottom of the eighth, Nester gave the Wingnuts the lead back with a solo home run to lead off the inning. 3B Logan Trowbridge (2-for-4) scored an insurance run later in the inning when 2B Logan Watkins hit an infield single.

1B Abel Nieves and LF Nick Rotola each added a pair of hits for the Wingnuts.

Fargo-Moorhead 5, Winnipeg 3 - Box Score

The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks overcame an early 3-0 deficit to claim a 5-3 win against the Winnipeg Goldeyes Saturday night at Newman Outdoor Field.

DH Grant Heyman gave the Goldeyes the lead in the top of the second inning with a three-run home run, his 11th of the year. But the RedHawks started their comeback in the bottom of the frame as RF Tim Colwell singled home 1B Chris Jacobs (2-for-4).

The RedHawks took the lead in the next inning when Jacobs belted out a grand slam, four his sixth dinger of 2018.

Heyman went 4-for-4 on the night for the Goldeyes and 3B Leobaldo Pina matched that as he went 4-for-4 for the RedHawks.

Sioux Falls 8, Chicago 5 - Box Score

The Sioux Falls Canaries never trailed on their way to an 8-5 win against the Chicago Dogs on Saturday night.

The Canaries led 4-1 early but the Dogs tied the score in the bottom of the sixth but Sioux Falls took control of the night back with three more runs in the top of the seventh. For the game, LF Jabari Henry went 2-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs scored and five other Canaries - C Maxx Garrett, RF Chris Grayson, 1B David Bergin, SS Jordan Dean and DH Mike Hart - each also had two-hit games.

For the Dogs, Joe Benson and Dalton Blaser each went 2-for-4.

Gary SouthShore 3, St. Paul 0 (Game 1/9 Innings) - Box Score

After Friday night's game was postponed after the first inning, the Gary SouthShore RailCats took care of business on Saturday win the game resumed and took a 3-0 win against the St. Paul Saints.

3B Randy Santiesteban went 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs

scored for the RailCats and 1B Alex Crosby added a 2-for-4 performance. 2B Cole Fabio added the only other RBI for Gary in the game.

But that would be more than enough offensive support as the RailCats' pitching staff shutout the Saints and held them to just four hits on the day. Starting pitcher Daniel Minor improved to 10-2 on the year as he threw seven innings and allowed three hits while striking out six batters. Reliever Adam Quintara earned the save.

For the Saints, four different batters including 1B Brady Shoemaker and DH Matt Snyder (who were 1-for-3) recorded hits in the game.

Gary SouthShre 6, St. Paul 1 (Game 2/7 Innings) - Box Score

The Gary SouthShore RailCats kept their momentum going from a game one win to take the second game of their doubleheader with the St. Paul Saints 6-1.

The RailCats came out strong in the first inning, scoring two runs on a triple from DH Ronnie Mitchell (2-for-4) followed by a single from C Wilfredo Gimenez (2-for-3) that plated Mitchell. In the second, CF D.K. Carey singled home 2B Garrett Copeland (2-for-2) and in the third, Copeland drew a bases-loaded walk and 1B Alex Crosby (2-for-3) hit a sac fly to push the lead to 6-0.

The Saints' lone run came in the top of the sixth inning when DH Brady Shoemaker scored an unearned run. LF Burt Reynolds led the way for the Saints as he went 3-for-4.
