Kansas City 11, Lincoln 2

The Kansas City T-Bones were too much for the Lincoln Saltdogs as they handled them easily in a 11-2 win. Both Kansas City 1B Hunter Mense and LF Justin Bass knocking in three runs in the game and Mense had a team-high three hits in five at bats. C Trevor Coleman and and 3B Enrique Cruz both pitched in two hits as well for the T-Bones. The scoring started in the second inning as Kansas City put up four runs with the help of a sacrifice fly from Mense and a three-RBI double from Bass. The T-Bones put up three runs in the sixth and ninth innings to put the game out of reach. The win went to P Devin Anderson for his seven innings of work in which he allowed two runs on six hits.

Grand Prairie 5, Amarillo 3

The Grand Prairie AirHogs stifled the Amarillo Sox in the middle innings to claim a 5-3 victory. The AirHogs took the lead in the first inning with two quick runs on back-to-back doubles from DH Brian Myrow and 1B Andres Rodriguez. The Sox came back to tie the game in the third but held the lead only briefly as Grand Prairie took the lead back when 2B Bryan Frichter scored on a fielder's choice in the bottom of the inning. The Sox wouldn't score again until the ninth inning while the AirHogs put up runs in the fourth and sixth to stretch out the lead. Frichter went 2-for-4 on the night and scored twice and RF Kenny Held also had two hits. P Josh Strawn improved to 5-0 on the season with the win.

Sioux City 6, El Paso 5 (10 Innings)

The Sioux City Explorers gave the home fans a dramatic win as they tied the game in the bottom of the ninth and walked off on the El Paso Diablos 6-5 one inning later. Trailing 5-4, the Explorers got a big double from DH/2B Brian Bistagne in the bottom of the ninth to tie the score. In the tenth, El Paso managed a two-out single but that was all the offense they produced. In the bottom of the frame, 1B Peter Barrows (pictured) connected on a 0-1 pitch and sent it out of the ball park for his second home run of the season. Barrows was 2-for-4 on the day with a double to go with his solo shot. For El Paso, LF Jordan Marks led the way at the plate going 3-for-4 with a pair of RBI. The win went to P Chris Bodishbaugh as he closed out the last 2.1 inning of the game without allowing a run on 2 hits.

Laredo 5, Worcester 0

The Laredo Lemurs blanked the Worcester Tornados 5-0 in an inter-league contest Sunday night. Laredo P Mark Haynes earned the win for his seven inning start against the Tornados. He allowed just three hits and struck out five batters. For the game Worcester registered just five hits against the Lemur pitching staff. All of the Lemur runs came in the second and third innings as C Brian Peterson started to heat up. He was 2-for-3 on the night with a game-high four RBI. Laredo LF Palmer Karr Jr. also had a nice night at the plate going 2-for-3 and scored two runs. For Worcester, 2B Brandon Pinckney had a team-high two hits in four at bats.
