St. Paul 8, Fargo-Moorhead 4

The St. Paul Saints jumped out to a 7-2 lead after 3 ½ innings and would roll from there to an 8-4 win over the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks. St. Paul DH Ole Sheldon hit two of their four home runs on the day as he went 2-for-5 with two runs scored and four RBI. Saints 3B Tanner Townsend and 2B Jon Townsend hit the other two home runs and went a combined 4-for-8 at the plate with two runs scored and three RBI. St. Paul starting pitcher Robert Coe was the winner as he went 7 2/3 innings giving up three earned runs on seven hits with four strikeouts. In the loss for Fargo-Moorhead, LF Jon Gaston and 3B Todd Jennings each had two hits.

Sioux Falls 4, Gary SouthShore 2

The Sioux Falls Pheasants plated three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to overcome a 2-1 deficit and defeat the Gary SouthShore RailCats, 4-2. Sioux Falls CF Jonny Kaplan, RF Cristian Guerrero and 3B Trevor Lawhorn each had two hits on the afternoon with Kaplan and Guerrero launching home runs. Pheasants reliever Jack Van Leur tossed a 1/3 of an inning allowing two hits and picked up the victory. Van Leur is now a perfect 3-0 on the season. For Gary SouthShore, 1B K.C. Judge had three hits.

Wichita 8, Winnipeg 5

After falling behind 4-1 after two innings, the Wichita Wingnuts scored five runs in the third to take a 6-4 lead and would go on from there to an 8-5 victory over the Winnipeg Goldeyes. Wichita's 3-4-5 hitters of DH John Rodriguez, RF David Peralta and 3B Jared McDonald went a combined 6-for-12 at the plate with five runs scored and two RBI. Wingnuts starting pitcher Josh Lowey tossed seven innings giving up four earned runs on six hits with six strikeouts. With the win, Lowey is now a perfect 8-0 on the season. His eight wins are currently the most in the American Association this season.
