
Altitude Announces 2011 Rapids Broadcast Schedule

Altitude announced today that it will broadcast a total of 27 Colorado Rapids regular season games during the 2011 season. Game coverage on Altitude will begin on Saturday, March 26th as the Rapids take on their conference rivals, Chivas USA live on Altitude 2. Altitude will be broadcasting 25 live games including 13 roads matches, as well as an additional 2 telecasts on instant replay via an agreement with ESPN, all in high definition.
All live games will include a special half-hour Rapids Kickoff pre-game show and all home games will feature a Rapids Locker Room Report post-game show. Play-by-play duties will be shared by Avalanche TV play-by-play announcer Mike Haynes, Nuggets TV play-by-play announcer Chris Marlowe, Nuggets radio play-by-play announcer Jason Kosmicki, Avalanche radio play-by-play announcer Marc Moser, Mark Bertagnolli, and Marc Stout. Color commentary will be delivered by Marcelo Balboa. Julie Browman, Kyle Keefe, Blake Olson, and Maya Starks will contribute regular reports throughout the season.

Fans can get prepared for the 2011 season and review the Rapids' 2010 MLS Cup Title by tuning in to the Season Review/Preview show hosted by Marc Stout and Marcelo Balboa to be broadcast on Monday, March 7 at 7:00pm MT on Altitude. In addition, Altitude will be airing a replay of last year's MLS Cup final between the Colorado Rapids and FC Dallas on Tuesday, March 15 at 7:00pm and again on Wednesday, March 16th at 10:00am.
Altitude will utilize its second channel, ALT2, for three Rapids games this season, all of which are denoted on the schedule below. All ALT2 games will also be available in high definition.
