Corpus Christi Hooks News Release
CORPUS CHRISTI - Tuesday, June 30, will be a busy day for JB and the Moonshine Band.
First off, it's the day of their new album release, MIXTAPE. From there, it's a performance of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" during the seventh-inning stretch of the 79th Texas League All-Star Game at Whataburger Field.
And, after a five-minute walk from the ballpark to Brewster Street Ice House, it's prep time for the TL All-Star Postgame Party featuring the East Texas outlaw outfit. The celebration is presented by Vistar; JB and the Moonshine Band are brought to you by 1st Community Bank. Bring your ticket from the All-Star Game for free admission and save $10.
Show time is 9:30-midnight.
JB Patterson (lead vocals/rhythm guitar/banjo), Gabe Guevara (drums), Hayden McMullen (lead guitar), and Chris Flores (bass guitar) of Tyler began their journey in 2009. Inspired by the birth of his son, Parker, to follow his dream of singing and songwriting, Patterson issued a local casting call and three musicians responded: Guevara, McMullen, and Flores. For Patterson, they were the right three. Since then, JB and the Moonshine Band has recorded and released two acclaimed albums: Ain't Goin' Back to Jail (2010) and Beer for Breakfast (2012). The records produced six Top 10's and three consecutive No.1's on the Texas Billboard Chart.
The lead-off single for MIXTAPE, "Shotgun, Rifle, and a .45," as well as the title track, are available on iTunes and Amazon. "Shotgun, Rifle, and a .45" is currently playing on Texas radio.
In 2015, JB and the Moonshine Band will play its 1,000th live performance. Patterson and his mates average 175 live tour dates annually.
