
Alex White Gets The Call Up To Double A Akron

Greenville, NC native Alex White has been promoted to the Double A Akron Aeroes. White went 2-3 with a 2.86 ERA in eight starts for the K-Tribe this season. White's 2.86 ERA is currently the fifth lowest in the Carolina League. White's .204 batting average against is the third lowest in the CL so far this season and the second lowest among Carolina League starters.
Last years first round draft pick for the Cleveland Indians, White gave up just 14 earned runs in 44 innings of work for Kinston, striking out 41. In his last start for Kinston on Tuesday, he gave up just one earned run, on three hits over six innings to pick up the win against Salem.
The K-Tribe heads to Frederick, Maryland today to start a six game road trip. Kinston has won 11 of their last 13 games, including winning their last four series.
The Indians will return home to Historic Grainger Stadium for a Memorial Day Blowout Extravaganza with fireworks on both Friday, May 28th and Memorial Day.
