(ALBUQUERQUE, NM) - Round Rock jumped out to an early 1-0 lead against Albuquerque as Luke Scott lifted his eighth homer of the season over the right field berm in the first inning.

Albuquerque then showed why its hitters love the light New Mexico air, while carrying a light-air home team batting average of .301. With three Albuquerque hits in the bottom of the first, including a two-run double by C Josh Willingham, the Isotopes took a 2-1 lead.

The Express tied the game at 2-2 with a solo Danny Klassen blast into the Express bullpen in the third inning off starter and eventual winner Frank Castillo.

In the fourth inning, Express starter Jared Gothreaux gave up three runs while walking two in the inning, and Albuquerque led 5-2.

The Express picked up an unearned run to tighten it to 5-3 in the fifth inning, and they made it a tight 5-4 game when pinch hitter Brooks Kieschnick drilled an RBI double. But in the bottom of the sixth, reliever Kieschnick walked two and gave up two more runs to expand the Albuquerque lead to 7-4.
